Our modern day society is characterized as a Network Society. In addition or instead of a national government and strong public institutions, citizens, companies and NGOs increasingly try to solve problems together and governments delegate particular tasks to them. This development is enabled by the Internet and its strong communication and interaction potential. Forallmedia analyzed the implications, positive and negative, of these developments for media policies. Together with the department of media & cultural industries of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science it organized a work conference to further elaborate this subject. In this project Forallmedia collaborated with researcher Saskia Welschen.
